Why Are My Fresh Flower Buds Green When Delivered?

Many people wonder why there fresh flower delivery flowers are not open, or still have green buds.  This is a very common question.  The answer is that when you buy fresh flowers the florist want you to have the best experience with your flowers.  Your flowers may arrive (some roses and tulips) with a green tinge, but remember  that the tighter the flower's head the fresher the bud.

 As flowers continue to bloom their full colour will begin to show. At the end of a flower's life you can pull off the outer petals to allow the inside petals to be displayed, reveling a beautiful flower again.
